Elections officials were checking equipment and finalizing paperwork Tuesday in preparation for early voting, which starts today in Tennessee.
Sullivan County Supervisor of Elections Jason Booher said he expects heavy turnout during the early voting period, predicting that half, 30,000 of the anticipated 60,000 expected to vote will do so during early voting.
“We have done a lot to make the process more efficient,” Booher said. “Voters might have a slight wait, but we are doing the best we can.”
